Description: Join the Director of the South Physics Observatory and Interpretive Specialist in Astronomy for the Department of Physics & Astronomy at the University of Utah, Paul Ricketts, for a multimedia presentation and discussion on excess light at night including the latest science on light pollution, followed by a telescopic tour of southern Utah’s starry night sky.

Before Paul's astronomy presentation, The Nomad Cafe & Retro RV Resort will host an “Open Mic” from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM with good food, stories, music and more. Free and open to all!

Location:  The Nomad Cafe, 2150 N Hwy 89, Kanab (in back of the UDOT Vehicle Inspection Station a few miles north of Kanab)

Access to the events of Amazing Earthfest is free, however we recommend a one-time donation amount of $20 to cover admission to most events scheduled during the festival. There are a few exceptions, which are noted in the event descriptions, to cover the cost of food or performances.
