Dino Track Hike

Presented by: Amazing Earthfest

Science & Land

Date: May 11, 2025

Time: 8:00 AM Utah Time - 9:30 AM Utah Time

Millions of years ago, huge dinosaurs roamed this land, leaving evidence of their movement pressed into solid stone. With BLM Paleontologist Katja Knoll, visit a dinosaur track site close to Kanab via a short but steep trail. Participants registering for this hike must have experience with scrambling and steep terrain. Wear good walking shoes, use hiking poles, and bring water for this one mile out and back adventure. Not suitable for dogs.

Location: Meet at the Kane County Office of Tourism, 78 S. 100 East, Kanab. Caravan to a trailhead parking area a short distance north of town.
