Volunteers Organize 5th Amazing Earthfest

   Save the date! For a full week, from may 15 through May 21, 2011 Kanab will celebrate the 5th Annual Amazing Earthfest, a public festival focused on experiential learning events, outdoor adventure, arts and entertainment.
   At Amazing Earthfest, community residents welcome visitors from all over to share and enhance appreciation and understanding of the natural world and its living system, by celebrating National and State Parks, Nation Forests, National Monuments and Public Lands of the Colorado Plateau.
   This year, Amazing Earthfest has a totally new, fully interactive website, created by talented volunteers, Tana and Mike McTeer of Kanab. For more information, to contribute support or to volunteer at Amazing Earthfest visit: amazingearthfest.com.
   In a new structure this year, 13 volunteers have formed six teams to engage in organizing the festival. Team members are working with collaborating federal agencies, national and regional non-profits, local groups and individuals offering concepts for more than 40 events to create a fabulous, 2011 festival line-up.
   Events will be scheduled in arts, culture and entertainment;botany and wildlife; cycling, horseback and ATV riding; land management and community sharing; natural and cultural resource talks and demonstrations; rock art and hiking; science, ethics and astronomy; plus award-winning documentary films.
   Bring your friends and family to experience an unforgettable springtime festival of discovery and learning, celebrating land and life on the Colorado Plateau in Kanab, Utah, during the 5th Amazing Earthfest!
