The Nonprofit Amazing Earthfest and Parry Lodge Offer “Dinner and a Doc” May 12 – 18

Southern Utah’s 13th Amazing Earthfest teams up with Parry Lodge in 2019 to offer it’s week-long series of award-winning documentary films in the Old Barn Playhouse with a delicious all-you-can-eat buffet supper prepared by Chef Mike Cooper at Parry Lodge Dining Room in Kanab, Utah. Buffet items from their catering menu will vary nightly, including appetizers, entrees, salads, desserts and non-alcoholic beverages in Napoli, Cabo and Heartland styles. Our Documentary Film series is packed with informative and poignant stories you won’t want to miss! Topics include national parks, voluntary simplicity, the majestic but imperiled Albatross, digital socialization, cosmology, evolutionary biology, climate change solutions and nuclear history. Enjoy dinner and a movie every night during Southern Utah’s 13th annual Amazing Earthfest with a live Folk Concert on Friday night, May 17.

The Salt Lake City duo known as “Que Faire”, consisting of Paul Boruff, guitar and vocals, and Lise Brunhart, violin and flute, invite you to journey with them as they explore music inspired by Utah’s “Amazing Earth”! These two regional artists express warmth and charisma through their extensive repertoire, transcending age and cultural differences, performing songs of love for nature and the West. Paul’s music career has known no borders. As a soloist, he has performed nationally and internationally. Lise Brunhart studied viola performance with Jenny Rudin of Palo Alto, California. In 1976, inspired to form a career combining visual arts with music, Lise came to Salt Lake City to study lutherie with Peter Paul Prier and Paul Hart at the Violin Making School of America.

In the years following graduation and her marriage to Ulrich Brunhart, Lise’s career focus shifted to biology and biotechnology. Today she researches vascular biology and cellular mechanisms of inflammation and cancer at University of Utah’s Program in Molecular Medicine.

Every day during the festival Chef Mike at the Parry Lodge will prepare a delicious buffet-style selection of gourmet dishes, available from 5:30 to 7:00 PM in their spacious dining room.
