With Author and Educator, Christa Sadler
Date: Thursday, May 16
Time: 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM
Location: Old Barn Playhouse at the Parry Lodge, 89 East Center Street, Kanab
Description: The film Paris to Pittsburg, screening at Amazing Earthfest on Thursday evening, May 16, at 7:00 pm, examines actions being taken worldwide to help mitigate the effects of climate change on our planet and our societies. As an introduction to the film, author Christa Sadler leads a discussion of the history and science behind our understanding of global warming and climate change. What is the difference between weather and climate? How did we initially come to understand that our planet was warming? How does a warming atmosphere affect the conditions that we experience, and how does human activity affect climate and weather? In a future that will be defined largely by a rapidly changing climate and its repercussions for planet Earth, this conversation will help you to acquire a basic understanding of an unfolding global phenomenon.
