THE MEANING OF LIGHT

- Science and Land
- Location: Best Friends Visitor Center, (in town) at 235 S 100 E, Kanab, Utah (435) 644-8584
Just what is light anyway? Humans have always relied on observing the mysterious and oft-misunderstood packets of energy known as photons to bolster our understanding of, and “see”, the universe. How is light created? Do we have too much of a good thing? Join astronomy interpreter Randy Dunning for a short multimedia presentation about light and stars.
After the program, gather with Randy near the Cottonwood Canyon Trailhead to see the astronomical wonders of the sky through a powerful telescope. For that event description, see “Tour the Galaxy”. If skies are cloudy, plan to attend the “tour” on Saturday night.
