LIFE ON THE ARIZONA STRIP: PAST & PRESENT

NPS Centennial Celebration Event!

IMPORTANT NOTE: This event takes place in Arizona. 10:00 AM Arizona Time is 11:00 AM Utah Time!

Gather for cowboy coffee and old-time music at the chuck wagon. Learn flint napping, yucca sandal, Paiute bead craft and rope making. Try your arm at throwing an atlatl, cast an animal track, make a rag doll or enjoy toys and games from the 19th century! Attend a historic grasslands talk by our resource manager or tour the Pipe Spring Museum collection with the Monument curator. BLM Kanab Office will be on site with a wildlife display. Pipe Spring National Monument, 14 miles west of Fredonia, AZ, on Hwy 389. Regular entrance fees apply: $7.00/adult 16 and over. Free with America the Beautiful passes (annual, senior, access, 4th grade Every Kid in a Park or military)
