INVOCATION TO SUSTAINABILITY
Experience the Healing Power of Nature

Date: Sunday, May 12, 2019
Time: 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM
Location: Angel’s Landing Outdoor Amphitheater at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab. West side of the gravel road north of Best Friends Welcome Center.

Description: Come for an afternoon of celebration and family-friendly fun to launch the 13th Annual Amazing Earthfest 2019! Enter the sanctuary of an ancient gathering place to enjoy live music, inspiration and poetry exploring community connections and nature.

Hear Salt Lake City-based Guitarist/Songwriter and Vocalist Paul Boruff singing of his love for the West and all that makes it wild and welcoming. Paul expresses warmth and charisma through his extensive repertoire, transcending age and cultural differences with technical virtuosity second to none!

The 2019 Invocation to Sustainability offers holistic insight into concepts of interdependence and reciprocity. Keynote speaker and WinGate Wilderness Therapy Executive Director Shayne Gallagher shares the wisdom of experience gained from a decade of guiding youth to greater self-awareness and deeper fulfillment through the healing power of wilderness, re-aligning, invigorating and restoring balance and fullness for body, mind, and spirit.

Hear imaginative and celebratory original poetry from Kanab’s very own Willow Wind Poets; Claudia & Lydia Brescia, Sky Chaney, Sue Fox, Debra Csenge, with musical accompaniment by Bobbi Chaney, to awaken our deep feelings for the wonder of the natural world.

Kick off this week of adventure, discovery and community connections by exploring the world of spirit, ethics, ideas and personal resilience through the beauty of nature. Gather beneath the splendor of a red rock alcove to center and focus, connecting with each other, the land, and all life forms with whom we share our Earth-home.
