Presented By: High Desert Backcountry Horsemen

Meet at Glazier’s Family Market parking lot, corner of 100 East and 300 South in Kanab, ready to depart together at 9:00 AM, transporting your own horses or mules. Caravan to the trailhead.

This easy to moderate ride in sand with segments of rocky trail begins in Seaman Canyon, east of Kanab along U.S Hwy 89 and is good for all ages. The ride ends at Seaman Point atop the Vermilion Cliffs with spectacular views of the valley, Kaibab Plateau and the Vermilion Cliffs.  The destination features dinosaur tracks, and petroglyphs which can be found just below them with a little scrambling.

Plan to ride about 4 hours in the saddle, allowing extra time for lunch and a short hike. All riders must sign a Waiver of Liability. A parent or guardian must accompany children. Bring your own horse or mule, tack and hat, gloves, jacket, lunch, water and sunscreen. You must provide your own tow vehicle and trailer or travel with a friend.
