HIKE WITH A LOCAL

Dinosaur Track Site

Date: Thursday, May 16, 2019

Time: 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM

Location: Gather at the Earthfest Information Table, Kane County Office of Tourism, 78 South 100 East, Kanab, Utah. Carpool or caravan to the trailhead.

Directions: Travel north from Kanab on US Hwy. 89 about 2 miles to a point near mile marker 67, just south of the UDOT weigh station.

Description: On this moderately strenuous one mile round trip hike into the Vermilion Cliffs which includes some scrambling, you’ll arrive at a dinosaur track site. Please carpool as parking is limited. Bring water, snacks, sunscreen and appropriate gear for weather conditions, rain or shine. Elevation gain approximately 200 ft.
