Description: The City of Kanab has an outstanding trail system affording immediate access to healthy recreational opportunities that promote physical fitness, well-being and the personal renewal that comes from getting deep into nature on foot! Hit your stride on this gently undulating scenic trail for a moderate 4-mile out and back hike beneath the towering Vermilion Cliffs. From shouldered ridges of Pinyon Pine and Juniper trees, scan the expansive horizon to the southeast across the vast Antelope and Kanab Canyons to the North Kaibab Plateau, and southwest to Mount Trumbull and Grand Canyon Parashant National Monument. Wear sturdy footwear and hat, pack 2 quarts of water, your hiking pole if desired, sun screen, food and snacks. Limit 12 persons.
