14th Annual Amazing Earthfest 2020
Re-organized ONLINE for the Covid 19 Pandemic
The Directors of Amazing Earthfest in Kanab, Utah, are pleased to announce that our 14th annual festival will take place in a new format. To keep all participants safe, we’ve redesigned the festival in response to the great pandemic. We’re going online!
Each 2020 festival event will observe the most stringent public health guidelines because your safety is of paramount importance to us. From July 18 through November 21, the Earthfest organizing team will produce a bi-monthly series of online activities providing exciting learning opportunities and self-directed outdoor adventures encouraging you to enjoy the spirit of Amazing Earthfest while adhering to recommended public health practices that keep you safe. No physical gatherings will be scheduled.
Every other week we’ll deliver one or two online presentations, workshops or documentary films to inspire greater appreciation for the natural world as well as lifestyles to harmonize with it. Topics will include astronomy, water, energy, rock art, our micro-biome, climate change, sustainability and community resilience. Certain films will even include opportunities to engage online with the makers and screenwriters! We’ll offer self-directed hiking challenges, suggestions for family-friendly outdoor adventure, and provide informative presentations for backyard enjoyment of the ever precious starry night sky.
We invite each of you to participate in our free series of 2020 festival activities and share feedback and photos of your experiences and adventures. Your shared images might even appear on our Facebook page or website at www.AmazingEarthfest.org.
Amazing Earthfest 2020 will not offer social gatherings. However we are confident that our online events will continue to inspire; that America’s National Parks, Forests, Monuments and Public Lands deserve our ever deepening appreciation and efforts to preserve them for years to come!
Information on each scheduled activity will be posted on our website at www.amazingearthfest.org and Facebook. Be well, stay tuned, get outdoors and have fun!
