Rock Art of Snake Gulch

Presented by: Richard Jenkinson

Arts & Culture

Date: July 19, 2020

Time: 3:00 PM Utah Time

Snake Gulch, a tributary of Kanab Creek, has an abundance of colorful pictographs. This presentation, covering six-miles of the gulch from Oak Corral to Table Rock, will take a close look at its unusual rock art, using D-stretch technology to bring out some of the faded details. As it works to protect prehistoric rock art sites around the West, URARA (Utah Rock Art Research Association) offers opportunities in Utah to participate in preservation, site stewarding, documentation and monitoring.
